German racer and rallycross driver, born on November 10, 1978. He took his first steps in karting, in 1989. In 1992 he took first place in the Kerpen Winter Cup, a year later he won the German Junior Kart NRW-Cup. In 1995 he switched to the German Formula Renault 1800, winning the championship in the debut season. In 1996 he moved to the Reanult 2000 class and took 4th place. In 1997 he switched to Formula Three and finished second in the first season. From 2000, he began performing at DMT in the Opel team. He performed in it until 2005, in which he decided to take a break from racing this format. He returned to the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters in 2006, changing the team to Audi Sport Team Rosberg. A year later he changed his team to Abt Sportsline. He did not have to wait long for success – already in 2008 he managed to take first place. He repeated this feat a year later. He appeared in DTM regularly until 2016. In 2015, he tried his hand in one round of the FIA World Rallycross Championship at the wheel of the Audi S3. A season later he competed in three rounds of the competition behind the wheel of Seat Ibiza. In 2017, he switched to MJP Racing Team Austria, exhibiting Fiesta Fords. He finished the season in the 10th position in the SuperCars class.
