Swedish racing and rally driver, born on July 14, 1978. He is the champion of FIA World Rallycross Championship, two-time champion of Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters and three-time champion of Race of Champions. He made his debut in karting in 1993, then he competed in the Renault 5 Turbo Cup winning the title in 1996. Since 2001, he competed in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters every year fighting for the podium, winning two championship titles 2004 and 2007. In 2010 he became the first Scandinavian driver participating in NASCAR races. In 2013, he started racing in rallycross and founded his own team EKS RX. Since 2014 he has been in the FIA World Rallycross Championship at the wheel of the Audi S1, winning the title in the 2016 season. In January 2018, he announced that he would be retiring from DTM. In World RX 2018 he finished 2nd!
