There is no shortage of changes in the American and global rallycross. Red Bull plans to make further changes to the Global Rallycross Championship series. There were already announcements of new classes, but none of them predicted such a revolution! So far, it has been about the Gold and Platinum classes. Subsequent reports concern a completely new class.
A fresh class of vehicles – Lavender – will be introduced from the 2019 season. They will be 3-wheeled vehicles with one-wheel drive. They are to generate power from 450 to 500 horsepower, and all this thanks to turbocharged engines commonly known from lawn mowers. The suspension components of the vehicle are to come from shopping trolleys. This element can not be changed due to safety regulations.
What do you think about it? Changes in GRC are going in the right direction?
