Something ends, something begins… Worried about the fall of GRC? ARX can take its place. IMG, which manages the World and European Rallycross championships, will be managing the upstart Americas Rallycross Championship. The ARX series is divided into four events in 2018. First round will begin in Britain as part of the World Rallycross package at Silverstone in May and will also take in the WRX rounds at Trois-Rivieres in Canada on August 4-5, and the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, on September 29-30.
ARX Teams
Two big manufactures have announced joining a new series of competitions. Volkswagen of America (with Scott Speed and Tanner Foust run by Andretti Autosport) and Subaru of America (with Patrick Sandell and Chris Atkinson) have already signed up for the series. However, this is not all. Loenbro Motorsports has announced a tie-up with Hoonigan which will see Steve Arpin campaign a partial Americas Rallycross season alongside Ken Block. It’s hard to find more information for now! We will definitely let you know when they will appear!
